buying the book gives you access to the same info online. just as an example, my 2 searches had about 30 changes each in the last 30 days, so imagine how ancient most printed info is in any similar book. however, the price is too steep. $12 seems appropriate for the content, but there is no better solution, imho, so i'll buy it again next year.
The advice comes from people largely in the Canadian market, but you buy this for its lists, not for its advice.

I am a writer trying to find an agent for my first novel. I always turn to this book for contest information as it has the best listings. the essays are rather generic if you're an experienced writer but all the agent listings, publisher listings and contest listings are worth the price of the book. a must for every writer's library.
