Adequate data, but some information missing. For example how is the backup light wiring routes from transmission lever area to fuse box and lights? What are the devices on the back side of the panel on each side of the cigar lighter receptacle in the dash of my 2008 F150?
I was disappointed to find out that the manual does not provide a fuse diagram for the internal fuses on the passenger quarter panel. That was the primary reason I purchased the manual.
I need to compare it to a Chilton's04/15/2015 - if you're looking for a book with step by step instructions and diagrams of how to disassemble and reassemble your vehicle. This is not what you want. I think it's probably decent for someone with good knowledge of automobiles, but for a newbie like me, good luck. Find a better book, let me know what it is and I'll try to check it out.
Haynes manuals are the industry standard for DIY auto repair, and this is a typical Haynes manual, full of detailed instructions and diagrams and photos. I'm particularly pleased with it as Amazon's regular price is something like 25% off of list price, free shipping w/ orders over $25, while my local auto-parts store sells them at full list price.
I have a Haynes manual for every vehicle I own. These manuals go in depth from top to bottom front to back. They contain wiring diagrams, troubleshooting guides, photos, step by step instructions, etc. If you make repairs yourself or want to diagnose a problem, this manual is for you. The manuals are written based on a complete teardown of the vehicle.
This is a very detailed and extremely useful manual. Between this and youtube how-to videos and know just what to expect before I even start. There is a very good trouble shooting section in the front of the manual that goes through various problems and their most likely causes. All the pictures are black and white, which is fine with me but some people might prefer color photos.
